In response to the Tsunami tragedy back home in December 2004, Chris for the first time brought himself back to reconnect with his Indonesian community in 2005 after 13 years of living and serving his adopted American community. He was then given the opportunity to Chair the Tsunami Fund Raising Concert in San Francisco. Concurrently, the Indonesian Day 2005 celebration event was to follow in August 2005. He was chosen to Chair the event in the same year. Since then, he has been volunteering and participating in many public events conducted by the local Indonesian community.

In response to the newly emerging Democracy in Indonesia, Chris formed a political platform called: “Future Indonesia” in his efforts to participate in the political contest in Indonesia. He wants to promote the understanding of a true democracy, monitor the implementation of its principles, its value and its spirit. He wants to provide opportunities for the Indonesian folks and their Representatives in the Parliament to discuss about important and critical issues facing Indonesia politically, socially and economically that effect millions and millions ordinary Indonesian people. Future Indonesia represents unspoken voices and the sentiment from the younger generation to reshape Indonesia to be a better, safer and brighter place to live.

In his spare time, Chris enjoys flying with his buddies or, playing his personal flight simulator at home, playing tennis and his guitar!
