Single terbaru Michael Jackson "This Is It" mulai diperdengarkan di beberapa stasiun radio di Amerika. Single ini mengudara setelah hampir empat bulan kematian sang Megabintang Pop itu.

Lagu ini begitu penuh dengan penjiwaan Jackson di tengah usianya yang sudah mulai senja. Seperti dilansir CNBC.com, lagu ini diisi oleh backing vocal dari Jackson Brother.

“This Is It“ juga dijadikan judul album terkahir Jackson yang terdiri dua dari CD. Rencananya album “This Is It“ akan dirilis secara internasional mulai 28 Oktober 2009.

John McClain, co-producer album “This Is It“ mengatakan, “Lagu ini hanya menerangkan, sekali lagi, apa yang dunia tahu, bahwa seorang Michael Jackson adalah karunia dari Tuhan.” ujarnya.

Klip video “This Is It“ ini merupakan bagian dari kesepakatan 60 juta dollar AS dengan promotor konser AEG Live and Sony Pictures untuk rangkaian konser sebelum dia akhirnya meninggal pada 25 Juni 2009.

Sementara untuk distribusi, Sony Music's Columbia dari Epic Label Group dipercaya memegang distribusi album ini.

Sony music mengatakan CD pertama album ini akan berisi lagu-lagu hits Michael Jakcson sepanjang karir bernyanyinya ditambah dua lagu baru. Sementara di CD kedua ada puisi berjudul “"Planet Earth" yang dibacakan Michael Jackson yang belum pernah diperdengarkan sebelumnya. (sumber: CNBC.com)
